Chief of Bangladesh Army General Waker-Uz-Zaman left Dhaka on Monday for Malaysia to attend the four-day 14th Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference (IPACC).
The Indo-Pacific Armies Chiefs Conference, jointly organised by the United States Indo-Pacific Command and the Malaysian Armed Forces, will be held in Kuala Lumpur, said a media release of ISPR.
Chiefs of Army from across the Indo-Pacific region are expected to attend the conference to strengthen friendship and cooperation, exchange views on addressing common challenges and discuss coordinated responses to regional crises.
The visit is expected to further strengthen ties between the Bangladesh Army and Indo-Pacific nations and enhance prospects for mutual cooperation.
The army chief is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on September 27.
