Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday said there has been conspiracy to kill her even during her stay in foreign land, but she is not worried over the plot.
“Still I am being attacked time and again. Even attempt has been made (to kill me) not only inside the country but also in foreign land. …. Attempt has been made to kill me by hiring killers when I go abroad. It was done by Khaleda Zia’s son who stays in London and their terrorists,” she told parliament.
The Leader of the House, Sheikh Hasina, was delivering her valedictory speech in the 25th and final session of the current parliament.

She, however, said she is not worried about it as she will continue to work for the welfare of the country till her last breath.
The PM said she came under attacks time and again in the past and survived the attacks. “Now I continue working for the country,” she said.
She said the nation again witnessed the mayhem of BNP on October 28 as the party unleashed arson violence in 2013, 2014 and 2015. They refrained from violence for some days between 2015 and October 28 last, she added.
Amid her speech, a video was screened showing the terrible scenes of violence unleashed by BNP last Saturday.
The PM sought cooperation from the people of the country to curb the violence and thr miscreants who attack journalists and police and even common people.

“I would like to urge the people of the country to go united to catch and hand over the miscreants behind the arson violence (to the law enforcers)…. Burn the hands that set buses on fire. If so, they will stop, otherwise not,” she said.
She said there is nothing to worry as the miscreants are handful in number. “So, I call upon all to get united to resist them,” she added.
Ruling out the possibility of dialogue with BNP, she questioned who should tell them to sit with BNP and sit with these beasts. “There is no sense of humanity among them,” she added.
She said today the country has moved forward thanks to the continuation of democracy since 2009, but they (BNP) have become desperate to destroy the progress.
The PM questioned the people of the country which Bangladesh they want and whether they want the pile of destruction or a developed Bangladesh.
“Do you want to keep up the improvement in your living standard? If only Awami League comes to power, this improvement will be upheld…. Only the boat symbol can give the people an improved life and they (BNP) know only how to destroy,” she said.
She said this 11th parliament witnessed several important chapters as special sessions held on several auspicious occasions like Mujib Year and the 50 years of National Parliament.
Hasina, also the Leader of the House, extended her sincere thanks to the opposition Jatiya Party and all MPs as this parliament is going to complete its (5-year) term successfully.
She said a total of 165 laws were passed in the 25 sessions of the 11th parliament since its first sitting on January 30, 2019. This current parliament was in sessions for a total of 272 working days.
The PM said the opposition lawmakers got more time and scope for their discussion and raising their amendment during the passage of every law.
She in her speech depicted the present scenario of Bangladesh in different social and economic indicators and sectors, comparing to the situation 16 years ago at fag end of BNP-Jamaat alliance rule.
“The today’s Bangladesh is marching forward socio-economically,” she said
The PM sought cooperation from the people of the country so that none can play games with Bangladesh anymore.
