Air Defence Exercise "ADEX 2021-1" of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) was held in Dhaka, Chattogram, Jashore, Cox's Bazar, Tangail and Barishal Wednesday.
This exercise aims to assess and evaluate the efficiency and capability of BAF Air Defence; identify the weaknesses and draw lessons for improvement in the air defence system, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate.

As a part of the exercise, the BAF pilots practised different air combat manoeuvres and tactics including attack and interception by the fighter aircraft, surveillance from the air to the enemy attacking area, protecting air bases, transporting weapons and special operations.
All types of BAF fighter aircraft, transport aircraft; helicopter, radar squadrons and air defence missile units participated in the exercise.

Army and navy also participated in the exercise on a limited scale to make it more effective.
