Dhaka, Apr 9 (UNB) - The namaj-e-janaza of firefighter Sohel Rana, who succumbed to injuries at a Singapore hospital early Monday, will be held at Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters here at 11am Tuesday.
His body arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 10:45pm on Monday.
Director General Brig Gen Sazzad Hossain of the fire service received the body with the presence of his family members and top fire service officials.
Later, the body was kept at the mortuary of Combined Military Hospital (CMH), said Senior Station Officer (media) Khushid Anwar.
Family members will take the body to Rana’s village home in Kishoreganj district for burial.
Sohel Rana, a staff of Kurmitola Fire Service and Civil Defence, sustained serious injuries on March 28 while rescuing people from FR Tower where a deadly fire claimed 26 lives and left many injured.
Rana was taken to Singapore from the CMH on Friday for better treatment.
