Law Minister Anisul Huq Sunday said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman upheld the principle of neutrality in a bipolar world in the middle of the cold war.
Bangladesh's foreign policy is based on Bangabandhu's concept of "friendship to all and malice towards none," which is required to build a better world through ensuring peace, cooperation, development and justice, he added.
The law minister was speaking at the hybrid seminar "Bangabandhu's Vision: Relevance in the Context of 21st Century" organised by the Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS) in Dhaka.

BIISS Director General Major General Mohammad Maksudur Rahman said Bangabandhu was a global leader whose ideals, thoughts, policies, deeds and legacies are not limited to Bangladesh alone, but won global esteem and acceptance too.
"So, his worldviews remain as relevant today as they were during his lifetime," he added.
Professor Delwar Hussain, Department of International Relations at Dhaka University and member of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission, presided over the seminar.
