The Embassy of Bangladesh actively participated in the Seoul International Tourism Fair (SITF) – held during June 24-27 at the Convention and Exhibition Center.
SITF, formerly known as Korea Travel and Tourism Fair (KOTFA), is the largest international tourism fair in South Korea. Twenty-six countries took part in this year's tourism fair.
Bangladesh has been participating in this fair since 2012. However, due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism of Bangladesh could not participate in the fair this year. So, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Seoul represented the country.
On June 24, SITF Chair Shin Joong-mok inaugurated the fair. Bangladesh Ambassador to South Korea Abida Islam, envoys of other participating countries, vice-president of Korea Tourism Association, CEOs and other dignitaries were present at the event.
