Bangladesh Consul General in Istanbul Dr Mohammad Monirul Islam said this at a programme on Tuesday.
He said Rohingya issue has injected a new impetus to the existing bilateral cooperation, bringing two countries even closer and admired the people and the leadership of Turkey for their moral, political and humanitarian support.
Bangladesh Consulate General made a presentation on ‘Bangladesh: A land of immense possibilities’ at Cagaloglu Lions Club, one of the oldest and prestigious Lions Club, said a press release on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by the members of the Club, who are well known in the circles of their respective professions.
Monirul Islam highlighted various aspects of glorious Liberation War, leading to the emergence of independent and sovereign Bangladesh under the courageous and visionary leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
He briefed the participants about the political, societal, demographic and cultural strengths of Bangladesh.
Chief Editor of Gunaydin International Ahmet Coskunaydin, who recently visited Bangladesh, shared his experiences with the audience, underlining that he was overwhelmed to see the impressive growth, development and achievements of Bangladesh in the socio-economic fronts.
He urged the participating businessmen and investors to explore the opportunities that Bangladesh offers in the fields of trade and investment without wasting further time.
President of Cagaloglu Lions Club Gurhan Kose also spoke.
