Foreign Minister Dr A K Abdul Momen has requested his Bahrain counterpart for recruiting more skilled and semi skilled workers including IT professionals from Bangladesh.

During his bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatiff bin Rashid Al-Zayani held in Manama on Friday, Momen briefed the Bahrain Foreign Minister about socio economic development in Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Foreign Minister Momen thanked the government of Bahrain for hosting a large number of Bangladeshi expatriates living in Bahrain.

Foreign Minister Momen is also attending Manama Dialogue on 18-19 November 2022.

As delegation member Secretary (East ) of the Foreign Ministry Mashfee Binte Shams and Ambassador of Bangladesh to Bahrain Md Nazrul Islam and other officials attended the meeting.

Momen is visiting Bahrain at the invitation of Foreign Minister of Bahrain, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They discussed about mutual exchange of land for construction of Embassy chancery buildings.

Foreign Minister thanked his counterpart for the cooperation of Bahrain government for Bangladesh community school in Manama.

Bahrain Foreign Minister appreciated Bangladesh government for mutual support for each other candidates in international forums.

They discussed for strengthening cooperation in trade, investment, economy, culture and tourism including easing visa for stranded expatriate due to COVID pandemic, their family members and for visitors.

Foreign Minister Momen invited Bahrain Foreign Minister to visit Bangladesh.

The Minister gladly accepted the invitation to visit Bangladesh in near future.
