BD envoy condoles Dr Mabud’s death in UK


Bangladesh High Commissioner to the UK Saida Muna Tasneem has expressed deep condolences at the sudden death of expatriate Bangladeshi-British eminent physician Dr Abdul Mabud Chowdhury.  

“I express my deepest condolences and shock at the untimely death of Dr Abdul Mabud Chowdhury from the deadly COVID-19. May Allah (swt) grant him Jannah and eternal peace. My thoughts and prayers are with the deceased’s family," she said in a condolence message on Saturday.

The death of this brilliant doctor is an irreparable loss not only for his family and Bangladesh-British community but also for Britain’s National Health Services, said the high commissioner.

"He made us proud with his bold actions to save lives even before his last days," she said.

Dr Abdul Mabud will be remembered by the people of Bangladesh and the Bangladesh-British community as a role model for his dedication, especially to the field of health service in the UK, said Tasneem.
