The destruction took place at the “Drug Destruction Ceremony-2026” held at the Kushtia Battalion headquarters. Brigadier General Mahmudul Hasan, Jessore Region Commander, attended the event as the chief guest.
Colonel Mohammad Iftekhar Hossain, Kushtia Sector Commander, welcomed the attendees. Between Feb 1, 2025, and Mar 15, 2026, BGB operations in Kushtia and Meherpur districts led to the seizure of drugs and other smuggled items worth approximately Tk 114.80 crore, involving 175 suspects.
