Detailing past actions against corrupt practices, he noted, “Previously, those involved in corruption at various levels have faced consequences. Some have been dismissed, some demoted, and some have had their salaries reduced.”

Addressing operational challenges, he assured that ticketing issues are being actively managed to prevent any concerns.
He also discussed preparations for ground handling at Dhaka airport’s new third terminal. “Biman has been operating for the past 52 years. In most airports around the world, national carriers or their sister concerns are responsible [for ground handling]. In that regard, the airline makes its claim. We are optimistic,” he commented.
Highlighting the flag carrier’s achievements, Md. Zahidul shared, “Last year, the airline touched a milestone of Tk 10,000 crore in revenue. I hope to surpass that target this year. From cargo alone, I expect revenue of Tk 1200 crore. If we achieve ISO certification for ground handling, it will be a huge achievement. We are improving in various departments.”
