BNP Executive Committee member Nipun Roy Chowdhury was arrested on Sunday for plotting to carry out subversive activities in the capital by torching buses, Rab said.
Her associate Arman Hossain was arrested from Keraniganj around 9am on same charges, said Rab’s Legal and Media unit Director Lt Col Ashiq Billah.
Nipun and Arman will be handed over to Hazaribagh Police Station after completion of legal procedures, the Rab officer said.

Nipun’s father-in-law and BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy said law enforcers picked her up from his Rayerbazar residence around 3:45pm.
Gayeshwar said they do not know the reason for her detention. “I’m not in the capital. My family members said police didn’t tell them why she was being detained,” he told UNB.
Nipun is the daughter of BNP Vice-Chairman Netai Roy Chowdhury.
