Police recovered the bodies of an unidentified man and a woman beside a pond in Keshabpur upazila on Saturday evening.
The bodies were found near a pond beside Bimal Master's house in the Kamalapur-Brahmandanga area of Panjia Union.
Local residents spotted the bodies beside the pond and informed the police.
Muhammad Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Keshabpur Police Station, said police recovered the bodies after receiving information from locals.
Further details would be known after post-mortem examinations, he said.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been ascertained, and the cause of death remains unknown. Police are investigating the incident.
