The body of BNP Vice-Chairman and former minister Abdullah Al Noman has reached Chattogram by helicopter.
The helicopter carrying the body landed at the city's Kazir Dewri Outer Stadium around 4:30 pm on Thursday.
Following the arrival, Noman's body was placed for paying last respects by party leaders, workers, and the general public at the Kazir Dewri VIP Tower residence.

Besides, the body will be kept at the Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University tomorrow from 8 am to 12 pm for the university’s students, teachers, and staff to pay their respects. From 11 am to 1 pm, the body will be kept at the BNP's Nasiman Bhaban office for visitors.
His third namaz-e-janaza will take place at Jamiyatul Falah Mosque ground after Juma prayers. Abdullah Al Noman will be laid to rest in the family graveyard following his fourth namaz-e-janaza at the Raozan Gohira School ground after Asr prayers.
Noman passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday morning. He was 82.
He is survived by a son, a daughter, grandsons-daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock and sorrow at his passing.
They prayed for the salvation of his departed soul and conveyed their sympathies to the bereaved family.

Noman was first elected as an MP from the Kotwali constituency of the port city in 1991.
He served as the Fisheries Minister after winning the 1991 national election and later as the Food Minister following his victory in 2001.
