The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has released the official schedule for the 11th season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which is set to begin on December 30.
Seven teams—Dhaka Capitals, Chittagong Kings, Durbar Rajshahi, Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Rangpur Riders, and Sylhet Strikers—will compete over six weeks of matches, with the season finale scheduled for February 7.
BCB President Faruq Ahmed said he expects this season to set a new standard for the league, both on and off the field.
For the first time, BCB will implement a fully digital ticketing system, aiming to streamline access and improve the fan experience. Additional measures include free water stations for fans in the stands, dedicated stadium cleaning crews, and an approach for higher broadcast quality.
From the start, all matches will feature the Decision Review System (DRS), and experienced international umpires will preside, with well-known commentators bringing the game to life for TV viewers.
The season begins in Dhaka, then moves to Sylhet and Chattogram before returning to Dhaka for the final rounds.
Group stage matches will open in Mirpur, hosting the first eight games, before moving to Sylhet, where matches will run from January 6 to January 13.
Chattogram will then take over from January 16 to January 23, with the remaining games returning to Dhaka on January 26.
The season’s closing week will feature the eliminator match on February 3 in the afternoon, followed by the first qualifier that same evening. After a rest day, the second qualifier will take place on February 5, leading to the final showdown on February 7.
