The Academy started the day with placing floral wreath on Bangabandhu's portrait at BSA's training building lobby.
Soon after that, a team of BSA administration including its director general Liaquat Ali Lucky, secretary Md Nowshad Hossain and other officials placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road no. 32.
On afternoon, special prayers were arranged at the BSA compound in Segun Bagicha in the capital.
A month-long virtual event series titled 'Shatabdir Mahanayak' was inaugurated at 5 pm from BSA's official Facebook page. The inauguration ceremony of this lecture and cultural event series was joined by Dr Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, energy adviser to the Prime Minister; former Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, prominent singer and member of parliament Momtaz Begum, poet Kazi Rozi, Shwadhin Bangla Betar Kendra artist Rafikul Alam, Nazrul exponent Salauddin Ahmed, Tagore exponent Dr Maqbul Hossain and Shama Rahman, singer Yeasmin Ali, Baul artist Surojal Das, singer Sushmita Saha, singer Palash Loha, flute player Kamrul Ahmed and child artist Arpita Mukherjee Athoy.
Hosted by Tamanna Tithy, the event was presided by BSA director-general Liaquat Ali Lucky where the guests reflected on Bangabandhu's life and eventful career and paved their solo tributes to the great leader and the martyrs of August 15.
