Post graduate students of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) blocked university's administrative officials including Vice Chancellor and pro vice-chancellor in their offices on Tuesday demanding an increase in their allowances.
The students blocked the administrative section, mainly VC's office, around 11 am and left the place around 3 pm after the VC assured them about addressing their problems.

One of the hospital staff said the students blocked the VC's office and demanded an increment in their wage and allowances around 11 am today. But when the authorities assured them, they left the place.

Currently, students who are studying post-graduation at BSMMU get TK 20000 as allowance. They demanded to increase their allowance to TK 50000.
