One of the two women, who sustained severe burn injuries in an attack by rivals over land dispute in Natore, has been shifted to Bogura Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for advanced treatment following the directive from the army chief.
A medical team from the CMH Bogura went to Mohanpur village in Natore Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning and brought severely injured housewife Shahnaz to the hospital.
On June 26, Shahnaz and Halima of the same village were allegedly attacked by their neighbours Sultan, Saiful, Lalchan and others over a longstanding land dispute.

The accused poured hot water mixed with chili paste on the women.
Failing to get justice from police, the victims lodged a complaint with the Bangladesh Army. Following this, army officials visited the spot and detained six accused and handed them over to police later.
Lt. Col Muktadir, commanding officer of Natore district, said the Army Chief ordered Shahnaz’s treatment at CMH after learning of the family's financial struggles.
