Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center has hosted a virtual roundtable discussion on ‘World Youth Skills Day 2020.’
The discussion titled ‘Fostering Resilience in Youth in the Covid-19 Era’ was held on Tuesday, said a media release on Wednesday.
The roundtable, moderated by Ejaj Ahmad, founder and president of BYLC, and Zafar
Sobhan, editor of Dhaka Tribune, included industry experts who focused on how the youth can be trained in times of crisis and proposed ways to meet the skills demand of a rapidly changing world.
Dhaka Tribune was its media partner of the discussion, reads the release.
Speakers focused on the changing nature of the post-Covid workplace, skills essential for making youth employable, expectations from job providers, and bridging gaps in the existing education system.
“BYLC is committed to transforming the quality of leadership and professional skills of youth in Bangladesh. We hope that by arranging a timely and important dialogue on how youth employment opportunities can be increased through skills development, we can raise awareness and inspire action among different stakeholders,” said Ejaj Ahmad.
