Dhaka, Mar 14 (UNB) - Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is going to arrange a discussion on gender balance in the city on Friday, marking the International Woman’s Day.
The event titled ‘Balance for Better’ will be held at the Krishibid Institution Bangladesh from 3pm. News agency United News of Bangladesh (UNB) is the media partner of the event.
The first panel, ‘Breaking the glass ceiling’, will discuss the invisible barriers that stand in the way of professional success of women in the country and around the world.
The second panel, ‘Social mindset and men’s role in gender equality’, will shed light on the collaboration between men and women and explore the role of men to create a gender-balanced society.
Through the interactive panel discussions comprising of women and men from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, the event will aim to promote the importance of gender balance in different sectors, and how collective action and shared responsibility are the key to driving a gender-balanced world.
The programme will end with a musical performance by ‘Chitropot’ in the evening.
