Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal presided over the Cabinet body meeting.
As per the proposal, Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC), under the Ministry of Industries, will make the bulk purchase of the urea fertiliser at a rate of $356 per MT, calculating 1 US dollar equivalent to Tk 84.95.
Two other proposals placed by the Public Works Department (PWD) also received the committee body nod.

Of these, PWD will award Tk 89.17 crore contract to Joint Venture of 1. Ataur Rahman Khan Ltd, and Mahabub Brothers Pvt. Ltd, to carry out the expansion and works of some other civil constructions at Bangladesh Folk Art & Crafts Foundation in Sonargaon Museum.

In another PWD proposal, the Joint Venture of 1. Taher Brothers Ltd, and 2. Hossain Construction Pvt Ltd, won Tk 80.75 crore contract to carry out the remaining construction works of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Building.

Roads and Highway Department (RHD) received the Cabinet body nod to award a contract of Tk 180.09 crore to implement the improvement and widening of district highway from Keraniganj to Hashara in Munshiganj, Dhaka.
