Lokman Hossain was placed on another two-day remand after concluding his previous two-day remand in a case filed under the Narcotics Control Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Ashek Imam passed the order when investigation officer produced him before the court and sought fresh remand of five days for interrogation.
On September 27, Lokman Hossain was sent on a two-day remand in the case filed with Tejgaon Police Station by the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab).
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Lokman from his Manipuripara residence in Dhaka on September 24 following the recovery of casino board, cards, gambling boards and liquor from Mohammedan Sporting Club in Motijheel on September 22.
Meanwhile, Kalabagan Krira Chakra president Safiqul Alam Firoz was placed on another five-day remand in a case filed under Arms Act.
Previously on September 21, Firoz was sent on a 10-day remand -- five-days each in two cases filed under Narcotics Control and Arms Acts.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Atikul Islam passed the order.
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Firoz after recovering pistol, yaba, gambling chips, 572 packs of cards and bullets from the Krira Chakra Club office in Kalabagan area on September 20.
