The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday recommended approval of two procurement proposals, including one for additional supplies for relocating and re-establishing IT infrastructure at Customs House, Chattogram.

The recommendations were made at a CCGP meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

Under the first proposal, the committee recommended additional supplies under Package-6 (Lot-1) for the relocation, reinstallation and commissioning of the existing Modular Data Centre (MDC), Local Area Network (LAN), network infrastructure and related IT infrastructure of Customs House, Chattogram, as well as ensuring service continuity.

The original contract value was Tk 8.68 crore, while the proposed variation amounts to Tk 2.24 crore, raising the revised contract value to Tk 10.92 crore.

Spectrum Engineering Consortium Ltd was recommended as the contractor for the additional supply.

The proposal was placed by the Internal Resources Division under the Ministry of Finance.

The committee also recommended approval of a re-tender for Package No. WP-06 of the project titled “Upgrading roads connecting Lakshmipur, Noakhali and Feni districts with the National Special Economic Zone to appropriate standards” under the Feni Road Division of the Cumilla Road Zone.

The tender package is identified as ADP/NSEZ/OSTETM/FRD/WP-06/2025-2026, with Tender ID-1245668.

The proposal was placed by the Road Transport and Highways Division.

The proposal involves reprocessing the tender, and the committee recommended it for approval.
