Chief Whip Nurul Islam on Sunday said the government, led by BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has transformed into a people-centric administration with a vision of “Bangladesh First,” regardless of political affiliations.
He said this while Political leaders from different parties in Barguna paid a courtesy call on Chief Whip.
The leaders also underscored the need for unity and consensus-based politics for national development.
Leaders from district and upazila levels of various political parties joined the meeting, where discussions focused on fostering cooperation beyond partisan lines and prioritising the country’s overall progress.
Chief Whip emphasised that building consensus among political parties is essential for ensuring sustainable development and long-term stability in the country.
“The government’s core objective is to move forward by taking all political forces together. Establishing a foundation of unity is crucial for the nation’s prosperity and stability,” he said.
The Chief Whip also highlighted the importance of collective efforts in strengthening social cohesion and political harmony, noting that cooperation among all stakeholders is vital for achieving national goals.
Leaders present at the meeting described the interaction as a positive step towards strengthening democratic practices and political dialogue in the country.
They stressed the need for all parties to work together to ensure national unity and social peace.
