The National Consensus Commission wants to initiate discussions with political parties and reach a consensus fast to formulate a 'National Charter’, said the commission's vice chairman Prof Ali Riaz on Monday.
He came up with the remark at a press conference held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the morning.
In response to a question, Ali Riaz said that constitutional amendments are possible through promulgating ordinances as happened in Bangladesh in the past.

Ali Riaz said they hope to receive the views of political parties and alliances by March 13. The Commission is always ready to address any questions or provide clarifications on the matter, he said.
Once the Commission receives the views of the political parties, Ali Riaz said, direct discussions with their representatives will start.
A specific date for these discussions has not yet been set but they will begin as soon as the parties' views are received, he said.
