Besides, four members of the law enforcement died of COVID-19, a source at Police Headquarters told UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases.
The source said 68 policemen posted at DMP tested positive in the last 24 hours, raising the number confirmed cases in the unit to 328.
Currently, 1,225 policemen are in quarantine while 174 are being treated at isolation units.
Besides, 55 patients made full recovery.
Policemen have been working to maintain social distancing since the beginning of the outbreak with barely any protective gears. As the number of infected police personnel increased, the PHQ asked its members to ensure their own protection while performing their duties.
