Coronavirus: Vehicle owners get until June 30 to renew fitness


The Road Transport and Highways Division extended time for renewing vehicles’ fitness until June 30 if it expires within the ongoing holiday.   Vehicle owners will be able to renew the clearance without paying any fine, said Abu Naser, public relations officer of Road Transport and Highways Division.   Bangladesh closed all educational institutions on March 17 and declared a 10-day general holiday from March 26 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

All public transports including train services have been suspended.
 
Meanwhile, no new coronavirus case was reported on Saturday.
 
The global death toll from COVID-19 has reached 27,468. It has so far infected 602,172 people around the world, according to worldometer.
