Health authorities detected 2,436 new cases across the country during the period increasing the total number of Covid-19 patients in the country to 3,04,583.
Another 3,275 patients recovered from the disease in a day boosting the number of total recoveries to 1,93,458. The recovery rate has increased to 63.52 percent.
RT-PCR facilities of the country tested 15,124 samples in the last 24 hours of which shows positive cases have decreased to 16.11 percent.
Since March 8, 15,00,385 samples have been tested in the country and 20.3 percent of them have turned out Covid-19 positive.
A press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the latest data.
At present, there are 1,06,998 active cases in the country.
Bangladesh is detecting 1,847 cases per million against 9096 tests.
Among the 45 people who lost their lives in the last 24 hours, 36 are above 50 years.
Since March 18, 1,990 have died in Dhaka, 908 in Chattogram, 277 in Rajshahi, 340 in Khulna, 159 in Barishal, 187 in Sylhet, 177 in Rangpur and 89 have died in Mymensingh division, said DGHS.

Across the country, 20,147 people are in isolation and 52,405 people are quarantined at present.
In Bangladesh, the first three cases of coronavirus infection were detected on March 8, and on Wednesday it crossed 3,00,000. On July 2, 4,019 Covid-19 patients were identified in the country, the highest in a single day.
