Fourteen Covid-19 related deaths reported during this period pushed up the local fatalities to 8,476.
At the same time, 1,117 people recovered from the virus infections, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). So far, 504,120 patients (91.46 percent) have recovered.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8 and the first death on March 18.

Meanwhile, the daily infection rate jumped to 4.98 percent from 4.3 percent on Sunday.
But the mortality rate remained unchanged at 1.54 percent for the past few weeks, the DGHS said in a handout.
Authorities have so far tested 4,163,163 samples, including 16,958 in the past 24 hours.
Vaccination drive in Bangladesh
Bangladesh launched its nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive on February 7.
By Sunday, 37,89,352 people received the first dose of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine. The second dose has to be taken between 8 and 12 weeks of the first one.
The government is providing the vaccine for free. It signed an agreement with the Serum Institute of India Pvt Ltd for 30 million doses.

Serum will provide five million doses every month between January and June.
People who are 40 or above can register for getting vaccinated at surokkha.gov.bd as the on-spot registration system has been revoked.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque recently said that the age limit for getting the coronavirus vaccine will be revised once more vaccine doses are available in the country.
Global Covid-19 Situation
The death toll from Covid-19 in the world reached 2,593,073 as of Monday, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University (JHU).
The total case count and death toll now stand at 116,822,839 as per the latest data released by JHU early Sunday.
The US remains the world's worst-hit country, with 28,991,680 cases and 524,987deaths to date, according to the university's tally. The US death toll crossed 500,000 on February 22.

Brazil ranks second after the United States in terms of the number of deaths from Covid and third in terms of the number of confirmed cases, after the US and India.
The country has registered 11,019,344 cases and 265,411 deaths so far, data show.
Meanwhile, India’s total caseload has reached 11,210,799 with 157,756 fatalities, according to the latest figures.
