“Dr Kader, senior consultant, orthopedic department, Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialised Hospital, was airlifted from Khulna at 6:10pm and admitted to Evercare Hospital in the capital,” said Khulna Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Hossain.
Khulna DC, said “Coronavirus prevention committee recommended me for sending Dr Kader to Dhaka for better treatment.”
“The decision was taken to airlift him to Dhaka as it was consulted with the high officials at Prime Minister’s office,” DC added.
Dr Kader was attached with the hospital dedicated to treat coronavirus patients at Boyra in Khulna.
Earlier on April 23, DC took an initiative to airlift Doctor Masud Hasan from Khulna to Dhaka, who later went back after recovery.
Bangladesh has so far reported 102,292 coronavirus cases and 1,343 deaths.
