Besides, the fast spreading virus claimed 22 more lives during the same period which is also the highest since March 18, raising the coronavirus death toll in the country to 408. With this the number of detected cases and recorded deaths in a day hit new high again within 24 hours.
Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), came up with the disclosure at the regular online briefing.
In the last 24 hours, 43 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country tested 10,262 samples, she added.
In different hospitals of the country including Dhaka City 395 people have recovered in the last 24 hours increasing the total number of recoveries to 5,602.

Among the deceased, 19 were male and three were female. “Of them, 10 were from Dhaka division, eight from Chittagong division, three from Sylhet division and one from Mymensingh division.”
Dr Nasima mentioned that eight were residents of the capital, one was of Dhaka district and one other of Narayanganj.
“Among others, four died in Chattogram city of Chattogram division, one in Cox's Bazar and three in Chandpur. One died in Mymensingh town of Mymensingh division. One died in Sylhet City of Sylhet Division and two other in Sylhet District outside the City,” she added.
Out of the 22 victims 16 died at the hospital and five at home while another was declared dead after arriving at the hospital.
She highlighted that among the deceased reported on Thursday, 10 were aged between the range of 51 and 60 years.
“Their age analysis says, two were aged between 11 and 20 years, one between 31 and 40, two between 41 and 50, ten between 51 and 60, thee between 61 and 70, two between 71 and 80, and two other between 81 and 90 years,” she said.
Across the country 154 more people were taken to isolation in the last 24 hours while 4,032 were home and institutionally quarantined during the same period.
