KAMPS opened it’s 4th dialysis unit at Shakhipur to expand the dialysis facilities for the poor patients at an affordable cost.

“Even 10 percent of patients do not have the ability to afford the cost. So, most poor patients lose their lives without treatment,” said Dr Samad, also the KAMPS Chairman.
In the private sector dialysis centre, the dialysis cost is very high, from Tk 3,500 to 5,000 and is not affordable for the middle and lower income segment of people, he said.
So, KAMPS has created the opportunity for people to get dialysis at a reasonable cost at its centres, said the KAMPS chairman.
Shakhipur Upazila Chairman Zulfiquer Haider Lebu, Shakhipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Chitra Shikari and KAMPS Executive Director Rezwan Salehin, among others, spoke at the discussion.
KAMPS, a non-profit, voluntary organisation of the country, mainly aims at spreading the kidney care facilities upto the doorstep of the general people and those who are deprived of opportunity.
With this aim, KAMPS has already been running dialysis service and kidney treatment facilities in the capital and some other districts including Tangail and Chandpur.
