The results of the 'Gha' unit admission test for the first-year honours courses at Dhaka University (DU) under the 2018-2019 academic session were postponed on Monday amid allegations of question paper leak.
Hours after issuing a press release on publishing the results tomorrow (Tuesday), the Dhaka University authorities issued another press release saying that publication of the results was postponed as per the directives of Vice-chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman.
Abu Raihan Khan, a 3rd-year student of Mass Communication and Journalism department, said many students got question paper before the entry test started.
Allegation of question paper leak of the unit also arose last year, he said, adding that the coordinator of the unit, Prof Sadeka Halim, failed to prevent the leak.
Mozakker Hossain, an admission seeker under the unit, said if the tradition of question paper leak continues, brilliant students will never get chance to enroll at DU.
The students also brought out a procession which paraded different roads on the campus.
