Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested three individuals from the Arambagh area of the capital with a large quantity of anti-government propaganda leaflets.
Acting on a tip-off, a team from Motijheel Police Station conducted a raid at a printing press named 'Udayan Printers' in Arambagh on Thursday afternoon, said DMP Assistant Commissioner (Media) Jahangir Kabir.
The arrestees were identified as Md Nazrul Islam (42), Md Jahangir Biswas (32), and Shipon (20), police said.
During the operation, law enforcers recovered 4,000 pieces of anti-government leaflets and four silver-colored tin plates (molds) used for printing them. The three suspects were arrested for their alleged involvement in printing and distributing the materials.

Police said the leaflets contained anti-government and anti-state propaganda, along with calls for the success of various Awami League programmess.
A case under the Special Powers Act was being processed at Motijheel Police Station in this regard, added the police official.
