Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 59 people in the last 24 hours during Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2 in the city.
The operation was conducted by police from five thanas: Jatrabari, Mugda, Rupnagar, Motijheel, and Hatirjheel.
Jatrabari police arrested 13, Mugda 15, Rupnagar 12, Motijheel 5, and Hatirjheel 14 people.
According to police, Friday’s operation targeted crime-prone areas within their jurisdictions.

From Jatrabari, the arrested include Md. Shawon, Nur Mohammad, Md. Rana Molla Rana, Shyamal Chandra Ghosh, Md. Apu, Md. Hasan Hawladar, Md. Sakib alias Sujon, Hridoy, Md. Sujal Hosain Rimon, Niranjan Das, Md. Arfan Sheikh, Nasir Uddin, and Rakibul Hasan.
Mugda police arrested Sabbir Hawladar, Al Amin, Md. Palash Islam, Md. Asmal, Md. Khalil, Md. Zahidul Islam, Md. Sohag, Md. Kalam, Md. Borhan Uddin, Md. Rajib, Md. Bakul, Md. Hasan Mia, Md. Anowar Hossain, Md. Momin, and Md. Shamim Iqbal Bappy.
Rupnagar police arrested Md. Habib, Md. Monir Hossain, Md. Sohag, Md. Ripon, Md. Maruf Hossain, Md. Iqbal Hasan, Md. Naeem, Md. Zahirul Islam Zahir, Md. Tamim Hossain, Abdur Rahman, Md. Sohel Rana, and Md. Jihad.

Motijheel police arrested Md. Jewel, Kamrul Sharif, Azizul Islam, Zahirul Islam, and Abdul Kaiyum.
Hatirjheel police arrested Abdur Rahman Sardar, Ripon Debnath, Mosha: Nasrin Begum, Mosha: Shirin, Md. Sakib Al Hasan, Delwar, Md. Rana Islam, Naimul Islam, Rakib, Baizid, Rakib, Sabiz Hawladar, Md. Naeem, and Md. Shahin.
Later, they were sent to court for further action.
