Dhaka, July 21 (UNB) – A Qurankhawani and doa mahfil was held in the city on Sunday seeking early recovery of Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni’s ailing husband Dr Tawfique Nawaz.

Madinatul Ulum Hafezia Madrasa at Gulistan arranged the programme after Zohr prayers.

A munajat was held after the Qurankhawani and doa mahfil with the participation of the madrasa teachers and students.

Later, cooked food was served among the orphans who stay and study at the madrasa.

Dr Tawfique, also a member of Transparency International Bangladesh Trustee Board and a lawyer, was taken to United Hospitals Ltd on Thursday night after he suffered a stroke following a cardiac arrest.
