Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla Airlines and Novoair will operate scheduled domestic flights for carrying international passengers only amid the ongoing seven-day stringent lockdown.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen took the issue up with State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Mahbub Ali, requesting him to ease the difficulties of international passengers.
Later, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) decided to relax the restrictions imposed on domestic flights amid countrywide strict lockdown.

However, domestic flight tickets can only be issued to the passengers with international air tickets.
Earlier, the foreign minister learned that those who were reaching Dhaka by international airlines were not being allowed to travel to destinations like Chattogram and Sylhet.

So, Dr Momen requested Mahbub Ali to look into the matter as people are facing difficulties.
On Wednesday, the CAAB suspended all domestic flights for seven days, from July 1 to 7.
