Blue panel, the Awami League-backed teachers' panel of Dhaka University, has bagged victory in the syndicate election.
The poll was arranged at the university's Nawab Ali Chowdhury senate building from 10 O'clock on Tuesday morning.
Elected teacher representatives of Dhaka University Syndicate are Dr. Mohammad Masudur Rahman as the hall provost, Professor Dr. Nijamul Hoque Bhuiyan as the representative of Professors, Abu Hossen Mohammad Ahsan of Public Administration Department as associate professor, Mohammad Sharif Ul Islam as assistant professor, Dr. Ismat Rahman of Computer Science and Technology Department as the associate professor of academic council, ASM Manjur Al Hossain of Medicine Technology Department as the representative of lecturer and Dr. Mohammad Shafikul Islam of Applied mathematics Department become the elected member of Finance committee of Syndicate.

The poll result was published around 3 pm and all the elected members from Awami League-supported Blue panel.
Treasurer of University of Dhaka Prof. Momtaz Uddin was in-charge of the election commissioner and he declared the result of the polling around 4.30 pm today.
This committee will be valid for holding office for next two years but this committee can continue in the office till their successors are elected or being nominated and enter the office, Dhaka University Ordinance 1972 says.

In the category of associate professors, the six teacher representatives of the academic council are -Ismat Rahman of computer science and engineering department, Associate Professor of Philosophy Department Mrs. Mandira Chowdhury, Associate Professor of Institute of Modern Language Bipul Chandra Debnath, assistant Professor/Lecturer Category Assistant Professor of medicine Technology Department Dr. A. S. M. Manjur Al Hossain, Assistant Professor of Law Department ABM Ashrafuzzaman and Lecturer of Meteorological Science Department Momin Islam.
