The Election Commission on Monday released the final list of 42,761 polling stations throughout the country for the 13th parliamentary election to be held in early February 2026, raising the number by around 611 from what was in the 2024 national election.
“We’ve finalised the list of the polling stations. The total number of polling stations is 42,761 in 300 constituencies of 64 districts,” EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed told a press briefing at the city’s Nirbachan Bhaban.
There will be nearly 2,45,000 polling booths, 1,15,137 for male voters and 1,29,602 for female voters inside the 42,761 polling stations, he said.
“A polling station has been installed for on average some 3,000 voters,” said the EC Secretary.

According to the EC’s last updated voter list published on August 31 last, the total number of voters in Bangladesh is 12.64 crore (12,63,07,504).
On September 10 last, the Commission disclosed the draft number of 42,618 polling stations for the 13th parliamentary election.
The EC official said the number of the polling stations was 42,150 in the 12th parliamentary election held on January 7, 2024.
