As Eid approaches, trains are witnessing a significant increase in passenger numbers, with many travelers heading home to celebrate with their families.
Earlier, Eid train journeys began with online ticketing on March 24.
Saidul Islam, assistant of Kamalapur Railway Station, said passenger traffic on March 26 was slightly higher than in the past two days.

This marks the third day of Eid train services. While the number of passengers has increased, no disruptions have been reported at the station. Only the Titash commuter train was delayed by 45 minutes due to its late arrival at the station.
A new commuter train was added to Dhaka’s train services today (Wednesday).
According to Dhaka Railway Station Manager Shahadat Hossain, a total of 69 trains will depart from Dhaka throughout the day (Wednesday), from morning to night.
Of these, 43 are intercity trains, while 26 are mail and commuter trains.
Eid exodus underway from capital
He further mentioned that standing tickets are being issued two hours before departure.
Special trains will start running from tomorrow, and as in previous years, all preparations for passenger services are in place.
