Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman reached Qatar on Tuesday as part of a two-day official visit to discuss bilateral issues including cooperation in the energy sector.
He left Dhaka early Tuesday morning with a high-level government delegation.
State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Aninda Islam Amit, Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Planning Dr Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir and Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir are among the delegation members, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the visit, the high-level Bangladesh delegation is expected to hold official engagements in Qatar and discuss ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the energy sector.
The Foreign Minister is scheduled to return to Dhaka on the night of August 19.
