“Bangladesh is now self-sufficient in food. The people of the country have no worries about food now. But we need to be more aware of the quality and safety of food. We must ensure safe food to improve the living standards and health security of the people,” he said.
The State Minister came up with the remark while speaking at a ‘virutal conference’ after inaugurating the Departmental Foundation Training Course of the officers of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), organised by Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM).
Mentioning that the role of BFSA is important in ensuring safe food, Farhad said more efficient and energetic manpower is needed in BFSA for ensuring expanding the activities of the organisation and ensuring quality food.
He also urged the future generation to work with the spirit of the Liberation War to take the country forward.
