A man and his son who had sustained severe burn injuries in a cylinder explosion in Bera upazila died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Abu Sheikh, 70, and his son Kalam Sheikh, 45, residents of Bera upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Bera Police Station Shahid Mahmud said six people were wounded as a cylinder went off in a house in Shekhpara area of the upazila on Thursday.
The injured were taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital, he said.
Later, the two were shifted to DMCH as their condition deteriorated where Abu Sheikh died on Monday morning and his son at 8:30pm on Sunday,the OC said.
