A female constable of Khulna Metropolitan Police died at Kachna village in Mollahat upazila on Tuesday morning with breathing problems 14 days after she gave birth to a child.
The deceased was identified as Adhuri Akhter, 22, wife of another police constable Mehedi of Kushtia.
Doctor Biplob Kanti Biswas, Mollahat upazila health officer, said that Adhuri gave birth to a baby girl on April 14 at a clinic in the upazila. As she fell sick she was admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital.
After receiving treatment she returned to her father’s house seven days ago where she died in the morning with breathing complication.
Her samples have been sent to the KMCH lab for coronavirus test.
