A total of 12 arson incidents were reported across the country till 6 am on Thursday, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) department.
Of these, six arson incidents were reported in the capital's Khilgaon, Maniknagar, Uttar Badda and Agargaon areas, said Talha Bin Zahsim, station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Cell, this morning.
Buses came under arson attacks in Dhaka during the countrywide 48-hour roads, rail and waterways blockade enforced by BNP and like-minded parties to press home their one-point demand.

Moreover, miscreants also set fire to a pickup van and a covered van in Gazipur’s Sreepur and Kapashia areas during the period.

A pickup van was also burnt in Shahjadpur upazila of Sirajganj in the meantime.
According to the FSCD, a total of 266 vehicles have so far been torched across the country since October 28.
