Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen is scheduled to Jakarta, Indonesia and Bangkok, Thailand from July 12 to 17 to attend separate events there.
Minister Momen is scheduled to leave for Jakarta tonight (Tuesday night), a senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told UNB.
The Foreign Minister will attend the ASEAN Regional Forum in Jakarta while he will attend a retreat in Bangkok on July 17 which will be hosted by Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) to exchange views on regional issues as well as ways to move the 25-year old organisation forward.
