Dinajpur, who suffered serious injuries in an attack by miscreants, was airlifted from Rangpur to Dhaka by a Bangladesh Air Force MI-171SH helicopter on Thursday.
As her condition deteriorated sharply, Wahida was moved to Dhaka from Rangpur on an emergency basis, said an Inter Service Public Relegation (ISPR) media release.
She was admitted to the National Institute of Neurosciences & Hospital, Dhaka for better treatment.
Meanwhile, State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain visited the hospital to see the condition of injured UNO Wahida Khanam.
During his stay there, he spoke to the higher authorities of the hospital and on-duty doctors.
The state minister urged the doctors for ensuring the best medical treatment for the UNO.
The hospital authorities assured him of all possible assistance to ensure the well-being of the UNO.
Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Secretaries to the Prime Minister's Office, Local Government Department, Public Administration, Health Ministry and Director General of the Directorate General of Health Service and Director of the National Institute of Neurosciences and Hospitals were also present.
The UNO and her father were injured in the pre-dawn attack by miscreants at her residence.
Quoting locals, police said a group of miscreants broke into the UNO’s home around 2:30 am after ‘tying up the night guard’ on the Upazila Parishad premises.
They beat up UNO Wahida and her father, Omar Ali, with a hammer, leaving them unconscious.
The incident came to light around 10 am when Omar informed the local people about it.
The UNO and her father were taken to Rangpur Medical College and Hospital. The UNO has a four-year-old son.
Deputy Commissioner of the district Mahmudul Alam and Superintendent of Police Anwar Hossain visited the spot.

It is not still clear who made the attack and why.
Police said they are investigating the incident.
