Dhaka, Oct 13 (UNB) - Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar on Sunday said the government is determined to ensure safe internet for all.
He made the remark while addressing a consultation meeting at the Department of Telecommunication. Representatives from RAB, DGFI, NTMC, BTRC, and mobile operators took part at the programme.
The minister said it is not possible for a single person, organisation or agency to make the internet safe.
Emphasising concerted effort, he said the government is determined to ensure safe internet by adopting and implementing appropriate plan.
“We want our daughters, wives, and mothers to be safe on the internet,” he added.
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Secretary Ashok Kumar Biswas, among others, was present at the programme.
