The government will soon set up a National Judicial Academy to provide training to the judges, Law Minister Anisul Huq said Friday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to set it up, he said while scouting locations for the academy in Madaripur’s Shibchar upazila.
“Training of judges is important to give judiciary’s independence an institutional form,” he said, according to a PID handout.
Huq said they are considering setting up the National Judicial Academy in Shibchar, which is situated near the Padma River.
“Shibchar will become a very important place once the Padma Bridge is complete,” he said.
