The bench of Justice M. Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman issued the directives on Sunday.
The directives said the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASPs) would have to hold meetings with all officers-in-charge (OCs) of his region every six months over present condition of mob beating.
Home Ministry would have to publish advertisements over it on electronic media persistently and restrict any audio, video or messages on the social media which can instigate people towards mob beating.
In cases of mob beating in any area, officer-in-charge of the police stations would be bound to record the First Information report (FIR) immediately, HC insisted.
The court also directed to take necessary measures to investigate the negligence of Education Officer (Dhaka), and the Headmaster of Uttor Badda Primary School over the lynching of Taslima Begum Renu.
The mother of two kids was beaten to death over a child-lifting rumour at North Badda in the city on July 20, 2019.
The victim went to the area to look for a suitable school for her children when locals suspected her to be a child abductor and subsequently beaten her to death at the school compound.
Many witnesses recorded the incident in their mobile phones but no-one tried to rescue her. The video footage went viral on Facebook, triggering widespread outrage.
Apart from Renu many others also fell victim of mob beating and lynching in 2019 centering rumours of child abduction.
